Vascular Laser

One of the more difficult cosmetic conditions of the head and neck are telangectasias. These skin lesions are difficult to treat by the more traditional modalities to treat redness of the face (rosacea), intense pulsed light (IPL) and the pulsed dye laser (PDL).

Patients have often sought treatment of telangiectasias, only to be steered to IPL or PDL. When these do not address the lesion, the power, or fluance, of the device is increased and it still is not very effective, as the treatment modality is not well suited to address these larger diameter vessels. The long pulsed Nd:YAG laser is well tuned to treat these vessels, and the settings can be adjusted to address vessels of varying sizes.

We have had great success in treating these vessels, which often appear on the cheeks or around the nose, with most patients achieving resolution after a single treatment.
